Fishing on the Sac River

Fishing is hands down one of the biggest attractions in Caplinger Mills & a perfect family activity on a warm summer morning.

With the historic bridge & dam just steps away, it’s the perfect spot to throw a pole in & see if you can catch dinner, as well as watch the locals do their daily casting.

Any visitors staying in the HRF campground or cabins are welcome to bring their own small boats or kayak & launch directly from our property! You have access to 20+ miles of upstream fishing & boating - the most serene & private place in the area.

Also, our neighbors at Caplinger Woods have a fully stocked general store that includes all the fishing supplies & bait you could need. This area truly has it all for the beginner or advanced fishermen alike.
