Canoe, Kayak & Boating on the Sac River

One of the most amazing activities in this area is spending time in and on the water.

Our campground has over 1600’ of shoreline - half on the Sac River & the other half on the adjoining creek & all within steps from your campsite!

Included upon that shoreline is a boat launch into our creek! This is the perfect spot to launch your personal kayak, canoe, paddleboard or other flat-bottomed watercraft.

If you don’t have your own watercraft, our neighbors at Caplinger Woods have a full rafting rental set-up & charter. Their excursion drops you in the river in front of their campground with a raft of your choosing & picks your group up a few hours later with one of their transport vehicles. Their campground is less than a 5-minute walk away from ours & is very easy access.

We’d be happy to help set up your adventure!

You also have direct access to the historic Caplinger Mills Bridge & the area below which is used for swimming, fishing, floating & relaxing. Just be sure to check with your campground host on river conditions, as the current & flow can change daily.

Easy to drop kayaks into Sac River directly in front of cabin or enjoy the 5 mile float downriver. Stellar views of the river every hour of the day plus short walks to the bridge for fishing and relaxing in the cool cool water.
